The mission of Community Hospice is to provide compassionate and
quality care, education and support to terminally ill patients
and their families, regardless of ability to pay.
Taking a load of clothes to donate to the Hope Chest Thrift
Stores?
Don’t forget to take your broken TV, too.
The thrift stores, which are run by and support Community
Hospice, have stepped up their recycling efforts in the past
year, especially in electronic waste.
The program has blossomed thanks to a new 20,000-square-foot
Logistics Center warehouse the organization purchased last year
off Finch Road in southeast Modesto. Besides e-waste, the program
recycles unsellable clothing, linens, stuffed animals, leather
goods, metal and plastic at the center.
