2013 Gala

The home of Dr. Wes and Heidi Kinzie was the backdrop for the 2013 Community Hospice Foundation gala. Attendees enjoy the beautiful surroundings as they place their silent auction bids. Hosts Dr. Wes and Heidi Kinzie greet Kathy and Steve Hughes. Dr. Jonathan Cohen and his wife Rocky receive the John and June Rogers Philanthropic Award on behalf of the Jean E. Hide-Cohen Foundation. The Julio and Aileen Gallo Leadership Award was given to Jeffrey P. Cowan for his commitment and leadership in guiding Community Hospice, serving on the board of directors since 2006. Peterson III, retiring Community Hospice CEO/President by the current and past Community Hospice Board Chairpersons. The award bearing his name will be given annually to a Community Hospice supporter who best illustrates the compassionate mission of the organization. In support of the Community Hospice mission, nearly 650 community members gathered on May 18, 2013, at the home of Dr. Wes and Heidi Kinzie, to raise funds for those living with advanced illness and their families in the Central Valley. The very successful event honored longtime supporters Jeffrey P. Cowan (board member), Jean Cohen and the Jean E. Hyde-Cohen Foundation (Alexander Cohen Hospice House donor), and Harold A. Peterson III (retiring CEO/President), for their leadership and contributions to Community Hospice.
