A Documentary on a Taboo Subject examines multiple perspectives on end-of-life care and includes information and experiences gathered from interviews with patients, family members, doctors, nurses, clergy, social workers, and national experts from around the country. This project sheds light on the 21st century American struggle with communication and preparation for the end-of-life. The thought-provoking film identifies many issues, evoking thought and conversation on this difficult subject.
Community Hospice provides ride-along opportunities for nursing professionals and social workers seeking to enhance their knowledge of end-of-life care. In addition, we are a clinical site for many of the community healthcare programs, providing students with the opportunity to increase their understanding of hospice and palliative care.
